Urogynecology

Urogynecology is a subspecialty that addresses pelvic floor disorders in women, including urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.

Indications:

• Urinary incontinence (stress, urgency, mixed)
• Pelvic organ prolapse
• Overactive bladder
• Urogenital fistula

Procedure & Results:

Management includes conservative therapy, pelvic floor exercises, to reconstructive surgical procedures.

Outcome:

Significant improvement in quality of life and bladder function in the majority of patients.
